In Greek we call them “swing drums”,
but they are widely known as kettlebells.
I will analyze the benefits of kettlebells in the next article, but I am sure that swings are an exercise you have tried if you are a person who trains regularly.
The personal trainer has included this exercise in the workout of her trainees
and in addition suggests the kettlebell to people
who have limited time and space to train.
With the ‘swings’ exercise you can achieve a complete training
and adjust it according to the respective goal.
BENEFITS OF SWINGS
- Exercises targeted buttocks and hind thighs.
In order to perform the exercise you do an explosive bend of the hips and at the beginning of the repetition you should feel a small pull on the back of the legs as a stretch. Beware of the common mistake, however, that swings, although they train the legs, do not imitate squats, as many practitioners believe and unfortunately perform incorrectly. The exercise is done by bending the hips and not by bending the knees.
- You can have aerobic and anaerobic adjustments
Whether your goal is to do strength training, endurance or cardio, with swings and proper program design you will be able to achieve the desired result! Just consult the personal trainer about the weight of the kettlebell and the program you will follow.
- You strengthen your core and therefore the muscles that surround your waist
If you are looking for a way to strengthen your torso muscles and correct your posture then swings are for you! It is a representative exercise for strengthening the abdomen, back, hips and buttocks, points that form the core and help to have a correct posture and to get rid of back pain.
- You lose more fat
A test of swings of 10 repetitions with kettlebell in your own measures will convince you. Your heart rate will rise and you will feel directly the effort you make to perform the exercise accurately and forcefully. The research on swing dramas came to the unanimous conclusion “double results in half time”, meaning an increase in metabolic rate up to 36 hours after the end of exercise!
Still haven’t convinced you? Put the swings in your workout program and you will remember me!
